Are You Decorating An Enclosed Patio Room With A Garden Theme?

Did you recently enclose your existing patio? Perhaps you have moved into a new house that has a patio as part of the floor plan. Either way, if you have decided that you want to decorate your enclosed patio with a garden theme, from selecting the furniture to designing the window treatment, here are some ideas that might help you to create an attractive room that will be enjoyed for many years to come.

The Furniture - Since you have decided to decorate your enclosed patio room with a garden theme, consider the kind of furniture you would use outdoors. For example, wrought iron, wicker, rattan, and even rustic wood are all great choices. Of course, to make them super comfortable, you will probably want to add seat cushions.

If so, consider buying cushions that have things like flowers, butterflies, dragonflies, ferns, and even insects as part of the design of the fabric. Think of how you will use the room. For example, if you enjoy board games or playing cards, consider adding a game table as part of the furnishings. If you want to simply relax in your enclosed patio, think of hanging a bench swing or even a hammock to the room. Doing so would also add interest to the area.

The Window Treatment - Again, think of bringing the outdoors right into your patio room. For example, select wooden plantation blinds that complement any furniture you have selected. If you do decide to buy plantation blinds, consider the type you want. For example, if you have gone with white wicker furniture, consider buying white plantation blinds to give the room a bright look. If you have selected dark wrought iron or rustic wood furniture, consider buying dark wood plantation blinds.

Perhaps you would rather have curtains for your window treatment. If so, consider what your upholstery is and selecting fabric that will complement it. For example, if you chose a fabric with flowers and butterflies on it, think about selecting fabric with something like ferns or bamboo as part of the design. Gingham would be another good choice for curtains. Or, if you want a super casual look, consider selecting either red or blue denim.

As you add decorative pieces to the enclosed patio room, think about things you would find outside. For example, consider a wall fountain or even a small table fountain. Decorative bird houses and hanging plants would be great, too. Contact a company like Classic Curtains & Interiors for more information and assistance.
